Green
and Golden Bell Frog
(Litoria aurea)
|
Once
common throughout south-eastern Australia, the rapid and unexpected
decline of the Bell Frog has lead to concern for its future. A large
population is found at the Sydney Olympics site at Homebush Bay, and
its endangered status in combination with its athletic appearance and
"Aussie" colour scheme, have made it one of the most recognisable frogs
in Australia.
